What is Easter Camp @ Melrose?

Easter Camp @ Melrose is an annual camp for high school (year 8-12) students. They gather to learn about God and His plan for the world, build relationships in the friendly camp atmosphere and take part in fun, interesting and often strange activities. Past camp activities have included:

• group building games (such as water baloon volley ball, Taboo, tug of war, baloon stomp, giant Monopoly...)
• card games
• swimming in the pool
• ball games
• Ultimate Frisbee
• dress up nights
• creative workshops & activities
• climbing Mount Remarkable (optional)
• book stall & canteen
• curly questions
• bible talks & small groups - down to earth discussion about real life stuff

Campers stay in dormitories at Camp Willochra (formerly the Diocesan Center) near Melrose. It is at the base of Mount Remarkable, and has a dining hall, chappel, grassed areas, a swimming pool and plenty of space. Meals are provided, and there is plenty of opportunity to get ouside and enjoy sunshine with friends.

Who makes this happen?

Easter Camp is run by it's Camp Leaders, a dynamic and varied team of young, creative and enthusiastic volunteers. It also receives input from many youth groups throughout the area, and vaulable support from the cooks, speakers and wider Christian community.
